When Jae Hee returns to the room Tae Joon quickly hides the present that he had bought for her. Both of them sit there for a minute before they both get up with their respective gifts. Tae Joon is thankful when he finds the necklace while Jae Hee is just excited to get a gift from him. She later vows to keep it for 500 years.
Meanwhile Eun Kyul finally has sat down to think after he runs away from Jae Hee. He tries to convince himself that he only likes Jae Hee because she looks like a girl, not because he likes guys. Then he starts staring at men but finds Jae Hee in his mind. It's kind of funny. Poor kid.
Jae Hee is totally exstatic over getting a gift from Tae Joon. She then moves onto her gift from Daniel. She opens it and finds a tazer inside. He tells her to protect herself if any guy came onto her. She sighs and wonders if it actually works. Oh dear lord, she actually tazers herself.
As it is tradition, the birthday boy/girl must eat seaweed soup on their birthday and its Eun Kyul who brings Jae Hee some. When Jae Hee asks where he got it from, he says that he is the king of the caffeteria. In truth he went into the kitchen and acted uber cute so that the kitchen women would help him make some. Aya. This kid.
Before leaving the caffeteria, Jae Hee buys herself a little cake.
Back in the room she waits for Tae Joon to appear. She wants to have a little birthday party with him. But before she can say anything, he picks up his phone. Han Na calls him to celebrate her birthday early. Tae Joon quickly rushes out. He reaches Han Na without a gift. She then insists that he buys her one to give to her in front of everyone at her party. She drags him into the store that he had gone earlier to buy Jae Hee a gift. The store workers immediately recognize him and ask him for a autograph. Han Na, suspicious, asks who he bought a gift for. Tae Joon replies with 'just a friend.' But of course, Han Na isn't satisfied.
Jae Hee decides to go to sleep early. She asks what is so special about a birthday anyways. Suddenly the lights go off. Then out of the blue ( or should I say black) Eun Kyul walks in with a beautiful cake with the candles lite. He climbs up to the second level and sits down on Jae Hee's bed. Jae Hee says thank you but Eun Kyul brushes it off a something a friend should do at the least. Besides, it was their last night sharing a room together. They blow out the candles together. AW!
The next day Da Hye calls Eun Kyul out for a date. Eun Kyul says that he has something important to say to her but she cuts him off. She says that he has to go with her somewhere. Da Hye takes him to her audition. She's nervous and instantly Eun Kyul picks up on it (a habit that she seems to have had since they were kids?). Da Hye wishes that Eun Kyul could come with her inside because he made her less nervous. In the end, she wears his soccer shoes into the audition and passes!
However, when they get to the bus stop Da Hye asks what Eun Kyul wanted to say. He says that he's forgotten and then asks Da Hye to hit him once. She responds by punching him, hard.
She lets him know that she knows that he likes someone else. She leaves to get onto the bus. She covers her face with her violin case so he can't see her cry. (Aw, I feel so bad for her. I really like her)
In the gym all the boys seem to be warming up by doing sit ups. Jae Hee is assisting Tae Joon and they keep staring at each other. (Just find it a little strange) Seung Ri comes in to let the team know of their training camp. Jong Min wants to know if they are going abroad and Seung Ri says yes. Everyone gets excited until Seung Ri ruins it by saying, 'I was just lying.'
Han Na suddenly invades room 303 that leaves the audience wondering for a second if it was an imagined event but, unfortunately its not. Han Na decides that she needs to get something cleared up. She starts searching through Jae Hee's stuff while Jae Hee wonders what is going on.
Han Na comes upon the cream that Tae Joon had bought. Han Na asks Jae Hee what she knows about Tae Joon. She gives a list of things that she does know. Han Na asks Jae Hee if she really was a boy and if she was, to get her head straight. She then grabs the cream. Jae Hee reaches for it too. Both pull at it until it slips and falls to the ground. It breaks and the cream comes out. Han Na quickly rushes out leaving Jae Hee upset. Jae Hee silently cleans up the mess and then sits down on the floor.
Tae Joon comes in and asks if Jae Hee has a date with the floor. Jae hee is truthful as she tells him the gift was ruined. Tae Joon tells her not to worry about it. When Tae Joon gets a text from Han Na, Jae Hee askes Tae Joon how long he'd known her. Tae Joon replies with since they were little and how everyone thought they were real sibblings. Tae Joon defends Han Na. Jae Hee askes Tae Joon if he really can't eat half done egg yokes to which a surprised Tae Joon replies yes. Jae Hee gets mad about the kind of man Tae Joon is and storms into the bathroom.
The next day before they leave for their trip, Jae Hee comes out of the bathroom and feels odd but has no time to ponder because she realizes that she is late. She barely talks to Eun Kyul who is out in the hallways before running off. At the camp site, the boys are putting up their inflatable tents. Seung Ri tries to help Jae Hee from behind and Tae Joon doesn't look very happy about that.
When Tae Joon goes on a walk later he sees Hyun-Jae on the phone. Hyun Jae is talking affectionately until he sees Tae Joon and quickly ends his call. Tae Joon is upfront and askes why Hyun Jae hates him so much. Hyun Jae replies that it's because Tae Joon takes things for granted. The things he finds important aren't to Tae Joon.
Back at school Eun Kyul has a hard time trying not to think about Jae Hee, who he has nicknamed 'Malang' which means squishy. Unforunately he sees it in the magazine he's reading and even on the radio in IU's song Marshmellow. Eun Kyul then makes the decision to go to Jae Hee.
At camp, Jae Hee is given the dury to make food. She tries to do it by herself. Tae Joon comes along and tries to show her the proper way to cook Korean food. He's better at it because he's been cooking since he was little since his mom was sick a lot. Tae Joon carves up a potato that is supposed to look like Jae Hee but it accidentally falls into the soup. At the table, the others thank Jae Hee for the food and Tae Joon stops her from saying that he had helped.
Later Seung Ri announces that there will be a survival game that all of the boys must participate in. The losing team has to do exercises in their underwear. Jong Min complains that Eun Kyul isn't here. Seung Ri then says that he likes Eun Kyul too much. Jong Min defends himself by saying that it's only because Eun Kyul is cute and nice. Hyun Jae, his roommate complains about the noise that Eun Kyul would make if he was there. That's when Eun Kyul comes up and says that his voice is sexy. Eun Kyul begs the gym teacher to let him stay by promising to help him.
The teams are made and the boys start the game. It's capture the flag with paint ball guns with halo suits. At first Tae Joon is supposed to just gaurd their flag but when he sees Jae Hee fall down the steps when she gets hit by enemey fire. Eun Kyul and Tae Joon immediately rush to her side to find her wrist twisted. Tae Joon asks what happened. Eun Kyul states that they are shooting at Jae Hee because they want to see him (HER!!!) in underwear. When Tae Joon realizes the stakes, he hadn't been present when Seung Ri had announced the game, he accounces that it was time to end the game.
Tae Joon goes into ninja mode as he takes out the entire team an captures their flag by himself.
However, before the game ends, Hyun Jae finds Eun Kyul and Jae Hee and goes to shoot Jae Hee. Eun Gyul jumps infront of Jae Hee and both topple to the ground, Eun Kyul on top of Jae Hee. He says something about a noble death, dying for a friend. Hyun Jae moves for the kill shot but Jae Hee shoots him as he approaches. Jae Hee then tells Eun Kyul to get off because he was too heavy. (HA!)
The game ends and the losing team stand around waiting to begin their run.
Jae Hee still doesn't look like she feels good. Tae Joon noticies and takes her to Dr. Jang even though she insists that she is fine. Dr. Jang realizes that to treat her he's going to have to do it alone, shooing everyone else out of the tent. Dr. Jang tells Jae Hee that the bandages around her chest were getting to be a problem, making her woozy. After all, she is still growing and sooner or later trying to look like a guy would be hard to do. Besides, it was affecting her health negatively. He also tells her that there is no reason for her to be there anymore because she had already seen Tae Joon jump.
Outside Eun Kyul and Tae Joon sit like worried family in the waiting room. The moment Jae Hee comes out they rush to her to check the extent of her injury. She tells them it was just due to low blood sugar and that the bandage on her wrist would come off within the next day. Eun Kyul notices Tae Joon's concern and begins to feel uncomfortable about the two roommate's relationship.
Later Jae Hee is attempting to brush her teeth, well, more like just open her tooth paste. Tae Joon notices and helps he out before offering to wash her face as well. He gently puts water on her face and then dabs little blobs of soap on her face. Eun Kyul watches the two interact closely from a distance. (Aw)
Then we realize that we are in Eun Kyul's extra crazy imagination. He tries to calm himself down by denying the possibility that Tae Joon would like a guy too. However he decides to make sure that Jae Hee is indeed alright. He tries to get out of his sleeping bag only to find the zipper missing. Eun Kyul struggles but makes it out of the tent. Then in a caterpiller motion he launches himself towards Jae Hee's tent. (AH! This is just way too cute. How can you not fall for this guy? Adorable Eun Kyul.)
In truth Jae Hee and Tae Joon are having trouble sleeping. Tae Joon asks her if she is having trouble sleeping. Jae Hee confirms it by saying that she just wasn't used to sleeping here, hence sleep trouble. Tae Joon uses that as the reason why he can't sleep either. Jae Hee then brings up the topic of s'mores, a camping tradition that she had learned about in the states. She quickly offers to make him some the next day. At first he refuses saying that she isn't that great of a cook. 'I just can't cook Korean food,' is what Jae Hee replies with. In the end Tae Joon agrees and both of them look away to try and get some sleep.
Meanwhile, caterpiller Eun Kyul gets caught by Seung Ri for being out of his tent when he's not supposed to be. Eun Kyul tries to make excuses but Seung Ri threatens to give him exercise/training right then and there unless he got himself back to his tent in five seconds. Eun Kyul quickly turns around heads for his tent with Seung Ri counting down after him.
Back in Seoul, Tae Joon's father goes to Director Jang. He approches her about Coach Holton, the coach that was to help Tae Joon for the Olympics. Holton was in Canada, but thanks to an email ( I wonder from who) Holton was willing to train Tae Joon. Tae Joon's father was considering moving him to Canada. Unfortunately or fortunately Han Na is just outside the room and over hears the conversation, realizing that a) Tae Joon had no clue and b) he could be leaving her (even though I may just point out that he has shown no romantic interest in her).
At the camp, it's the next day and of course Jae Hee is having trouble eating. Tae Joon is about to help when Eun Kyul starts to feed Jae Hee himself. Seung Ri makes a comment about newlyweds and Jong Min feeling jealous complains about his wrist hurting too. Eun Kyul gives him a little which Jong Min spits out onto Tae Joon, Jae Hee and Eun Kyul while sputtering about having recieved only plain rice. Later the boys gather around to talk when Eun Kyul mentions a meteor shower that is to occur that night. Seung Ri thinks it is nothing special but Jong Min insists that he was not romantic, hence his singleness.
Later Tae Joon opens the tent and sees Jae Hee in the middle of changing her clothes. He quickly zips up the tent and waits looking nervous. Jae Hee exits the tent and apologizes but he just tells her to be more careful. He tells her that there are other guys around who would just make fun of her. (Why would they make fun of her? Why does Jae Hee not realize that he knows!) Jae Hee then asks Tae Joon to watch the meteor shower with her. He quickly nods.
At night everyone is getting ready to watch the shower. Jae Hee packs up the items needed for s'mores. Tae Joon comes into the tent and tells her that he'll be late because he was asked to help with planning the activities for tomorrow. Tae Joon then hands her his jacket telling her that it will be colder outside.
Seung Ri walks around, my guess waiting for Tae Joon, and looks up at the stars. He wishes for a girlfriend and ironically Han Na walks in (hints?). Once again, she has managed to follow Tae Joon looking desperate. She asks where he is and Seung Ri points towards camp.
Eun Kyul stands outside of Jae Hee and Tae Joon's tent. He tries to summon courage before addressing Jae Hee. He asks whether Jae Hee is asleep. He asks if she'll come watch the meteor shower with him. Not getting a reply, he opens the tent to find it empty of people. (Aw. Poor kid.)
Han Na manages to find Tae Joon. She cries as she lets him know what she had over heard. Tae Joon tries to send her back but she insists that he comes back to Seoul with her right away to talk to his dad. (No! Wait! You have a date with Jae Hee Mr.)
By this time Jae Hee has found a comfortable spot and has already lit herself a little fire. She roasts the marshmellows and puts them inside the crackers (I don't see the chocolate.) She is disappointed when Eun Kyul comes up to her and grabs a seat.
Of course Tae Joon calls up Jae Hee to let her know that he's leaving while both Han Na and Eun Kyul watch from the side. Trying not to get upset, Jae Hee hands the s'mores to Eun Kyul. She tells him that she had liked a person when she was little and they had taught her how to make them. Eun Kyul claims that the s'more a are good and then brushes some crumbs off of Jae Hee's lips. Then, throwing caution into the wind, he says that he has something to say to her.
Random:
I feel very, very irritated by Han Na. She is turning out to be a terrible, terrible... thing. She really is annoying me to death here. Why the heck does she keep barging into Tae Joon's room. Leave him the 'f'' alone! Seriously, you can't force someone to like you and it's definitely not going to help if she keeps doing stuff to the female lead.
