Okay. So recently this guy PSY has gained a lot of popularity for his "Gangnam Style." At first I just thought that it was just something that was big in Korea and it would die down and I would go see what it was later. I saw it on my recommended videos on YouTube but I gave no second thought to it. Then on AllKpop there were more and more and more articles on it. However it wasn't until my American friend who doesn't like Kpop to say the least sends me a message saying that the song/video was her new theme song that I went to check it out.
Strangely, it had no effect on me. While other people go crazy over it, I sat here wondering what was so special. I mean, I feel weird when a lot of my friends are going crazy over this Kpop song and I'm not for once. Okay maybe, PSY is talented but the song just wasn't for me. At the same time, it's being tweeted by tons of stars such as Tom Cruise and being learnt by people like Britney Spears and gotten to the top of numerous music charts. Bizarre.
I don't know why, but I am going to have to be in the minority of people who dislike this song/dance. The only thing that I think would be good about this song is that it has increased YG Ent's popularity.
